Jeannie Laslo Douglas, AP ERYT
Acupuncture Physician
Compassionate care comes from a place of understanding, and Jeannie Laslo Douglas really gets you.
In the mid-90s, Jeannie found her way to a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) clinic in search of relief from some health issues she had been experiencing. When acupuncture and herbal medicine resolved these issues, she was relieved….and intrigued. So began her journey to becoming a licensed acupuncture physician.
Like most journeys, Jeannie’s wasn’t a straight line. It included twists, turns, and many downward dogs. Since 2001, she has owned four yoga studios in Florida, California and Oregon, has led classes and retreats for all levels, ages and abilities and has also been the director of three registered yoga schools. In 2014, she created a police yoga program for the Bend, Oregon Police Department, which has since received several awards and national attention.
Jeannie’s experiences with yoga and Chinese medicine enabled her to recognize commonalities between these two ancient systems of health. This inspired her to pursue licensure in acupuncture to expand her skills, blend her passions, and address a wider variety of physical, mental, and emotional health issues.
“When it comes to wellness and longevity there are many paths, and one size definitely does not fit all.”
All told, Jeannie has over 30 years of experience customizing holistic programs for individuals with illness, injuries, and special conditions. She grew up in Stuart, Florida and is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and the Florida College of Integrative Medicine. She has a bachelor’s degree in both Psychology and Health Science, as well as Master’s degrees in Exercise Physiology and Oriental Medicine.
Each session with Jeannie is gentle and mindful. It will provide the guidance your body needs to balance, heal and repair itself as well as prevent further illness and disease. She’s been there, she gets it, and she hears you.
